To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts. |

1. Cardiff Children’s Choir – a community choir for children aged 5-11 years in inner- city Cardiff. Advancing musical education for children, particularly families who are displaced, in financial hardship, or new to arts. This is achieved through a free and subsidised places scheme. 2. Little Concerts – Family Concerts with particular focus on the 0-5 years age group and their families to develop public education and appreciation of music. 3. Industry focussed training for emerging professional musicians in working with music and young children. |

Para 1.20 | The community choir project (Cardiff Children’s Choir) has benefitted 40 local children and their families: • Majority were new to arts engagement. • 18 began with a free term of sessions. • 7 are receiving subsided places. • 48% ethnic minority. Their musical development is exceptional and with it, joy and inspiration, community cohesion, and wellbeing benefits for children and their families. The Little Concerts programme has delivered 3 concerts in this reporting period. 358 people have developed their appreciation of music through these inspirational experiences. Of these: • 85 aged between 0-5 • 61 aged between 6-13 • 26 emerging professional musicians aged between 18-25 have received industry facing training along with paid employment. |

In its first year of operation, the trustees have not deemed a formal reserves policy to be necessary due to the charity’s activities being funded on a project-by- project basis and the charity’s low fixed cost base. The trustees will continue to keep this position under review. |
