Forthe last 4 months ofthis financial year,
in conjunction
with our partners,
work was
started on developing
a specific digital
resource to help the children
and their
families caught up in the war in Ukraine
that will be available
free on a newly-
designed app.
We have also created a *Guide Service'
which helps to support bereaved
young
people to become peer mentors and help
guide others through
their grief.
Additionally,
during the year we have
developed a toolkit supported
by the Mayor
of London*s Resilience
fund and Thrive
LDN. The purpose ofthis toolkil, called
'Loss in Translation',
is to give young
people the tools, guidance

with life-limiting
illness, death and grief.
From March 2022, having
identified a
specific need for the children
of Ukraine,
Apart of Me started the development
ofa
digital mental
health
intervention
where
parents and carers of Ukrainian
children
will be able to find well designed,
easy to
use resources and tools to help them guide
their children
through
the crisis and
minimise
any long-term
psychological
harm. Bythe end ofthis year the project
had obtained a good level offinancial
support
and had commenced,
together
with
our partners,
the evaluation,
design, and
development
ofthis resource called 'A
Safer Place' ('Nadlya'
in Ukraine meaning
hope).
Whilst the concept was conceived
in
response to the Ukraine crisis, it is not
limited to people suffering
from that conflict.
'A Safer Place' is a tool which is universally
applicable
to anyone
suffering
with trauma.
