Calvary Chapel Maidstone is a Christian church affiliated to Calvary Chapel Association and the Calvary Chapel UK group of churches. It was founded in July 2018, and became a registered charity in May 2021.

Structure & Governance

Eldership

The church operates under a plurality of elders. During most of 2025, three elders were in position, although there is provision for additional elders should the church grow to a sufficient size to necessitate increased leadership.

Trustees

Four trustees have been appointed to oversee the charity during 2025. Three form the senior leadership of the church, for which the charity represents, the fourth trustee is independent of the church.

Dennis Scott and Jonathan Bourne were appointed as trustees to replace Matthew Hobbs after his departure from the church and resignation from this role on 16[th] January 2025.

The church is governed by its constitution which places the day-to-day running of the charity in the hands of the elders, Ian Fox, Dennis Scott and Jonathan Bourne. Matthew Hobbs resigned his position as Pastor/Elder/Trustee on 16[th] January 2025 and left the church immediately.

The giving received by the church during 2025 was £33,245.44 including Gift Aid for the years 2023 and 2024 of £8,025.71, and the expenditure was £18,508.14. The closing bank balance on 31 December 2025 was £57,276.63.
