On 4 Oct 2023, the charSty organised a photo exhlbltlon evenlng at Panter & Hall where curated photos taken by Reachers durlng the 2023 and 2022 trips were on dlsplay. OPERIITION CH Structsrefft governance and management a. Constltutlon Operation Reach is governed by its Constitution. It became a registered CIO on 10 May 2021. b. Method of appolntment or elertlon of Trustees The management of the charity is the responsibility of the Trustees who are elected and co￿pted under the terms of the constitution. An interyiew process is in place in the appointment of the Trustees. The flnal declslon to appointment is voted on by the Trustees. c. Policies adopted for the Indurtlon and trainln8 of Trustees Trustees are subject to interviews and DBS checks prior to being appointed. All Tnjstees have a clear role description including specific roles and responsibilities. Training is given by existing Trustees and they have the option to rneet the Reachers (subject to the necessary checks having been performed) through the interview process, training day and at fundraisin£ events. d. Orzanlsatlonal strurture and declsion maklnl There are five appointed Trustees who are responsible for oversight of the charity and effectlve management of its resources. Day to day responsib%lity for operations is delegated to the Volunteer CEO as set out in their contract lunpaidl. All major decisions such as selerting of vendor5 and use of financial resources are discussed and voted on by the Trv5tees. e. Rlsk management The Trustees have assessed the major risks to whlch the charity is exposed. In particular those related to operations and finante5 of the charity, and are satisfled that Systems and procedures are in place to mitl8ate our exposure to the major risks. The charity has an Insurance policy in place to mitl8ate some of the operational risks. A separate detailed risk assessment for the Reachers, expedition was also prepared by the travel agency that the charlty partnered with and reviewed by the CEO and trustees. The financial statements have been prepared In accordance with Accountlng and Reportlng by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wlth the Financial Reporting Standard appllcable in the UK IFRS 1021 Issued on 16 ljjly 2014, the Charities Act 2011 and UK Generally Accepted Prartice as it applies from l January 2015 updated for bulletin l.
