volunteers other Achievements and Performance SORP referenGe The band began the year as many other organisations in lockdown. It was not until September 2021 that the band was able to ompletely start rehearsa15 again. This was subject to 3 Covid-19 Risk Assessment based on a template provided by Brass Bands England and in conjunction with the Methodist church where we rehearse. Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Para 1.20 Rehears?1 spaces were ventilated, social distancing was observed, and hand sanitiser provided During Covid restrictions, all committee meetings were held on Zoom to ensure the continued running of the band. We also used Zoom for qulzzes and socials to keep in touch with our rnembers. The band was able to play some Carols in the Barnstaple High Street {subject to the corrert Ilcence from North Devon Distrlct Council) and this was appreciated by shoppers and members of the public for bringing some Christmas cheer into the town. The band also played at Ruda Holiday Park on two Saturdays to provide music for thelr Wlnter Wonderland celebrations and entertained both people on holiday and locals. After, the Senior band had been rehearsing for several weeks, we then re-started the Training Band and were pleased and encouraged to See some new members join both bands. The Training band is for all abilities of playlng and includes both children and adults. Various style5 of music are played and enjoyed together to improve their musical standards and have the experience of playing in a band.

In our Senior band we had many new young accomplished player5 join and the Flute section Increased significantly. The band purchased two Piccolos and these are bein8 used to give our younger players a challenge on a new instrument and enhancing our w<>odwlnd section. As our first concert {after Covidl we choose to do a joint concert with l>oth the Training band and the Senior band taking part This was held at the local church hall to raise funds for the North Devon Hospice and was enjoyed by all the band members and appreciated by the audience. £100.00 was donated to the Hosplce. More concerts are now being planned with other local choirs and groups and we are looking fonvard to the future.
