Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	To relieve the needs of young carers aged five to eighteen years (the beneficiaries) of age in North Somerset, in particular but not exclusively by organising and delivering educational and leisure activities and events and by providing such financial support to those in financial hardship as the trustees deem appropriate.

Para 1.17 and 1.19	Raise funds and receive grants and donatons to organise and provide leisure and educatonal actvites for North Somerset Young Carers, being young people with ages ranging from six to sixteen years old who care for someone and have to take on practcal and emotonal caring responsibilites that would normally be expected of an adult.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	We have been able to sponsor more in person events for the children that we support and deploy some of the excess cash that was available from the previous year. These funds have been used for activity days for young careers such as a trip to a residential camp, a trip to a pantomime, creating and distributing Christmas hampers to young careers and their families. As well as fund raising, the charity has organised and volunteered at craft days. The activities and hampers provided have offered relief and entertainment to those young careers the charity aims to benefit who would be otherwise unable to enjoy these events.
