Providing the region with an award-winning youth volunteering service, Gen22, which has distributed £325,181 in grants in this period, and vthich will dellver hundreds of ac¢esslble volunteerlng opportunities to 1 &24 year-olds throughout 2024125. Reaching over 5,000 children through school workshops, educational resources. and inclusive activity days, encouraging those in prlorlty groups to take part and become more active. Connecting regional businesses with local charities and community groups, by establishing a unlqu8 gateway for businesses to offer volunteering time, funding, or equipm8nt. United By 2022 operate as 8 conduit and measure the social impact, adding to thè £300 million in social value already generated by the Games. Working in partnership wlth FABRIC Dance, th8 Critical Mass prole¢t has engaged hundred$ of young people aged 16-30, with and wrthout disabilitles, In dance and movement activities. Working with local dance organlsallons across tha region, over 52 danGe sessions were d81ivered in multiple areas, including Birmlngham, Coventry, Dudley, Worcesler, Stsffordshire. and Shrewsbury, as well a8 onlin8. In lots1, 708 individuals attended these sessions. One of the highlights for the Critlcal M89$ project thls year was the ma88 performance al Birmingham Festival 23, titled 'Solara.' 84 participants performed In Solara, with nearty 50% of parllGlpants representing Birmingham and Slaffordshire. 75% of the Solara cast identify as having a digabillty or other health condition, with a high retention rate since their flrsl performance during the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. A signlfic8nt finding of the evaluallon so far, h89 been the positive impact on participant wellb8lng of both the weekly dance sassions and the performance opportunitie5.
