Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	To advance the religion of Islam, by providing facilities for worship and by providing Islamic education in accordance to the charity doctrine. To relieve financial hardship amongst poor people and others in need by making grants and providing other necessities for the said persons
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	Publishing Islamic literature: beneficial educative leaflets are published on a quarterly basis. The leaflets cover topics that benefit the public morally and spiritually. Distribution of leaflets: The published leaflets are distributed in various places of Birmingham free of charge, mainly after Friday prayers and to some supplementary schools. Distribution of literature packs: Carefully prepared literature packs are given free of charge to subscribers. Short advices and reminders: On a fortnightly basis, beneficial written advices are shared on social media to subscribers and the general public. Zikr gathering: On a fortnightly basis, a program for spiritual rectification takes place at the home of a trustee. The programme comprises of conducting zikr prayers which are devotional recitation of common prayers and attributes of God (Allah).

Policy on grant making During this financial period 1 volunteer regularly aided Contribution made by volunteers with designing the leaflets. All of the trustees also gave their time on a voluntary basis.

Al-Husna academy has made an effort to positively
educate the general public on the pristine message of
Islam. Over the last financial year, the following has
been achieved:
4 leaflets were published. 5000 copies of each leaflet
were printed, and approximately 3000 of each were
distributed after the Friday prayers at various Masajid
in and around Birmingham.
Whilst distribution the trustees had the opportunity to
offer advice informally to those who requested.
The leaflets also led onto a number of people
subscribing to our fortnightly Islamic reminders and
receiving a literature pack.

2 persons contacted the Al-Husna phone number to seek private counselling and were duly attended to. The charity also circulated on a fortnightly basis, beneficial anecdotes and written advices on social media, which were received with appreciation from subscribers and others from the general public. On a bi weekly basis up to 9 people would get together at one of the trustees houses to conduct a zikr gathering. To further our activities, trustees have been actively searching for a suitable property to purchase. Al-Husna Academy is looking to further it's projects over the next year, with the purchase of a new building it's main priority.

The trustees have prepared for the last financial year
receipts and expense accounts and a statement of
assets. The charity has 3 bank accounts. One of
these is for general donations. The second is
specifically for publications and the third account is
for the purchase of a future building.
The main source of income is donations of well
wishers and others who share the vision which the
academy has.

Description of charity’s trusts:	Al-Husna Academy is a registered charity under the charity number: 1193834 The charity trustees are responsible for general control and management of the charity. They meet at fixed intervals and are responsible for all decisions in relation to the charity. Each trustee is delegated specific responsibilities to carry out like finance and publications etc. As the charity is in its infant stages there is no need to hand over responsibilities to sub committees, but this will be an option in the future as the charity progresses.
