Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	The objects of the CIO are: 1) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in England and the USA for boxing and associated physical training activities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of women who have need of such facilities by reason of their social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life. 2) To advance the education of women in England and the USA by providing practical and financial support to enable them to work towards obtaining recognised qualifications in personal training.

Achievements and Performance

Para 1.20	The CIO has achieved the successful operation of boxing and fitness classes for women. The classes have been held weekly and have been consistent throughout the year. The number of participants has grown throughout the year which has led to more classes being run. The charity has added further fitness classes such as basketball. The intended beneficiaries of the CIO have increased their involvement with the classes and the relationships within the beneficiary and wider community has been positive.

Financial Review

Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period	Para 1.21	The CIO received donations and fundraising income of £117,281 during the year. The costs of the CIO for the year were for the operation of the free boxing, basketball and fitness classes, fundraising expenses and the management of the CIO. The costs for the year amounted to £74,261. The funds held by the CIO as at 31 March 2023 was £84,900.
