TCLT aims to to help Christian Churches use their land and property to further their mission and provide benefit for their congregations and their local communities. It is common for churches to sell assets to meet short-term needs. TCLT aims to help explore more creative solutions allowing them to retain their asset base for long-term benefit.
Objects: 3.1 The Objects Of The CIO Are, For The Public Benefit In England And Wales: 3.1.1 Promoting The Efficiency And Effectiveness Of Charities And The Effective Use Of Charitable Resources, In Particular But Not Exclusively By Providing Information, Training And Advice To Christian Churches To Support Them In Utilising Their Land And Property Effectively, In Furtherance Of Their Purposes And For The Benefit Of Their Congregations And Wider Local Communities;3.1.2 Advancing The Christian Religion, In Particular But Not Exclusively By Promoting The Preservation, Maintenance And Improvement Of Christian Religious Buildings And Places Of Worship; And3.1.3 Advancing The Education Of Persons In The Christian Community, And The Wider General Public, In Relation To Management Of Land And Property Belonging To Christian Churches, In Particular But Not Exclusively By Providing Information, Training And Advice.
