Para 1.20 | The children and young people taking part in dance activities in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and India have hugely benefitted from receiving donations of dancewear – it makes their practise safer and more engaging. They are made to feel like a unique and valued member of their activity group. School children benefitted from dance workshops engaging with the Christmas and Easter stories. They learned the true meaning of these Christian festivals, as well as benefitting from the health and wellbeing elements of dance. The performance project was given as a free, outdoor performance to the public and spoke to people through dance about social stereotypes and challenged people to rethink their views. |
