the student leadership weekend and the

CSN trained several Catholic student
leaders, equipping them with new tools to
evangelise and build Catholic societies.
The training material created can be used

Cathsocs, and students who wish to
establish their own Catholic society.
Feedback received from attendees at
CSN’s key event has been overwhelming
positive with attendees and key
stakeholders all supportive of CSN
objectives. Attendees have highlighted that
connections made at CSN’s events have
resulted in collaboration across
universities, and enabled communities to
grow more effectively.

Financial Review

Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 CSN’s turnover falls below £25,000, and is
financial position at the end therefore below the audit threshold and is
of the period exempt from detailed accounting
disclosures. Trading for the year has been
positive with the Charity generating
sufficient income to meet all outgoings and
retain a surplus. Expenditure over the year
largely relates to charitable activities, being
the running of CSN’s two key events. Other
key expenditure consists of support costs
required for the day-to-day running of CSN,
inclusive of administrative costs. Income
generated during the period was split
between grants received and ticket sales
for key events. Successful fundraising
together with existing surplus reserves, are
expected to be utilised by CSN in 2023 and
beyond to further CSN’s mission and
objectives.
