Achievements and Performance

SORP reference

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 The charity has not been able to achieve
its targets due to a lack of fund raising. In
the current economic climate there have
been no donors as the businesses we
contact are struggling financially.
The charity has been trying to raise
awareness of food poverty however there
has been a significant increase in the
number of food banks in the local area
which have impacted the need for our
service.
There have been many challenges
especially the on-going Covid 19
pandemic, which impacted our staff and
volunteers. Our priority was and will
always be to support people in financial
hardship. Our charity was set up during
the covid 19 pandemic as there was a
greater demand to support people who
were unable to work and who needed
assistance with food. We are looking to
recruit new volunteers to support our
charity to achieve our goals. Our
fundraising activities, which require face-
to-face interaction with the public, have
been hindered due to the pandemic. We
are going to focus more on our online
presence and increase our marketing
online. Once we have raised our target
amount we would like to open premises
to operate from on a regular basis.
