- The fees paid for the scholars for academic year 2024/2025 was 174,754 Dalasis (approx. £2025) - In line with the scholarship package offer, scholars were given funds towards purchasing PPE and school uniforms. This amounted to 18,276 Dalasis (approx. £212) - The remaining funds will be used to pay the scholars’ fees for the duration of their courses - Tabaxh received a donation of £3148 via JustGiving from a corporate donor that wanted to sponsor one woman to study the four-year BSc in Planning and Design. The donation was an enhanced scholarship package which not only covered the tuition fees for four years but also included transport allowance (paid at the start of each semester), PPE kit and a laptop. |

Para 1.20 | - Tabaxh received both public and corporate donations during this tax year - Given that Tabaxh raised more money than expected, Tabaxh was able to sponsor five women this year in addition to the continuing scholars. One of the five women sponsored this year was selected to receive an enhanced scholarship package which was a one-off sponsorship funded by a corporate donor. The enhanced scholarship package covered tuition fees for the duration of the course, transport allowance (paid at the start of each semester), PPE kit and a laptop. - The scholars were selected from numerous applications and granted scholarships to study construction-related courses in The Gambia. The selection process involved the Tabaxh trustees reviewing applications submitted via the Tabaxh website, interviewing shortlisted candidates via video call, and selecting five women to receive the scholarships. - The total number of Tabaxh scholars (new and continuing) is now ten for this tax year. |
