- As the first year of Tabaxh operating as a
registered charity, this reporting year was
spent liaising with the university and
colleges in The Gambia that provide
construction related courses to understand
their admission processes, tuition fees,
courses provided, and so on
- This year was also spent building the
Tabaxh website to enable applicants to
apply for the Tabaxh scholarship in the
academic year starting in September
2022/2023
- A treasurers account was created for
Tabaxh in February 2022 with an initial
amount of £5 transferred into the account
by Sainabou Jack (Tabaxh chair) as a
donation and to keep the bank account
open while fundraising plans were made
- Plans were put in place to raise money by
Sainabou participating in a 5km park run in
the UK in June 2022 (after the end of this
reporting period)
- As this report has been written in January
2023, a total of £2855 was raised after the
end of the reporting year to pay the tuition
fees for three women in the Gambia who
began their studies in September
2022/2023. This public benefit will be
detailed in the next reporting year’s
report/accounts
