Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	For the public benefit, to advance the education of women who are nationals, or residents, of The Gambia by awarding grants and funding to study a construction related course at the University the Gambia (UTG) or Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI) or a similar educational institution in The Gambia.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	Para 1.17 and 1.19	- As the first year of Tabaxh operating as a registered charity, this reporting year was spent liaising with the university and colleges in The Gambia that provide construction related courses to understand their admission processes, tuition fees, courses provided, and so on - This year was also spent building the Tabaxh website to enable applicants to apply for the Tabaxh scholarship in the academic year starting in September 2022/2023 - A treasurers account was created for Tabaxh in February 2022 with an initial amount of £5 transferred into the account by Sainabou Jack (Tabaxh chair) as a donation and to keep the bank account open while fundraising plans were made - Plans were put in place to raise money by Sainabou participating in a 5km park run in the UK in June 2022 (after the end of this reporting period) - As this report has been written in January 2023, a total of £2855 was raised after the end of the reporting year to pay the tuition fees for three women in the Gambia who began their studies in September 2022/2023. This public benefit will be detailed in the next reporting year’s report/accounts

Achievements and Performance

Para 1.20	- Achievements for this reporting year include liaising with the universities and colleges in The Gambia that provide construction related courses, opening a bank account for the charity, building the charity website, plans for fundraising through a 5km park run - The above achievements would eventually lead to raising enough funds to pay the tuition fees for three women in the Gambia. As this report has been written in January 2023 the public benefits will be detailed in the next reporting year report/accounts
