Business Meetings The Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 8pm at Desborough Bowling Club, 10 Green Lane. MAIDENHEAD, SL6 IXZ. 3. Legal Ststus The CIO was registered on IO'February 2021 under Charity Commission Teference 1193483 and commenced operations from l July 2021. The CIO is governed by its own constitution and is also Chartered by, and under the jurisdiction of, the International Association of Lion Clubs, Oak Brook Illinois, USA. Investment Powers The Trustees may invest any moneys required to be invested in or upon the secutity of such StocL Funds, Shares, Securities and other investments for the time being authorised by law for the investrnent of Trust moneys with power to the Trustees to vary such inve8th1ents for others of a like nature. References to the Club in subsequent paragraphs refer to the activities of the CIO. 4. Lions Club Objectives To create and foster & spirit of UnderSt￿dIng amongst the people of the world. To promote the principles of go(xl government and good citizenship. To take an active interest in the civic. social and mora] welfare or the community. To unite the Clubs in the bonds of friendship, giyxl fellowship and mutual understanding. To provide & forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest" provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religÉon shall not be debated by Club members. To encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial Teward and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavours. Trustees Report The Trustees present their annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025. The object of the Club is to support general Charitable causes through its fund-raising activities and donations ieceived. Trust moneys may, at the discretion of the Trustees and with the agreement of the Club Members. be invested or dpnated to charitable causes. To facilitate donations, a Community Services Committee (CSC) considers worthwhile welfaFe recipients and makes re¢ommendations to the Club and Trustees. Some donations fa]1 outside the CSC remit-i.e. donations to LCIF appeals, to groups and chaiities or proposed by individual club members. Such donations are approved by the Club at business meetings. The Board of Directors that includes the Trustees meet 4 times a year to discuss various club matters including any concerns relating to policy and perforn)ance of the TTUSt in achieving its objectives. 1. Review of Trust Activities The Duck Derby and Swimarathon were held as nomial. The Ltons fun train was also operated at public fetes_ The Club held a Prostate testing event in September 2024 when over 500 were tested. The Club held it first Maidenhead Talent Show for Junior School Children in November 2024. Vouchers and Hampers were given in lieu of Christmas parcels Grants to help relieve fuel poverty were made to applicants through Citizens Advice East Berks. The revenue earned from fund raising activities enabled substantial grants and awards to individuals, to local charities and groups and to Lions Club International appeals. Details are set out on pages 2 and 3 of the finance report. The total distributed was £41,429. In addition £14,416 was spent holding the Prostate Testing EvenL £870 was spent on Lions m￿sage in a Bott]e scheme and £278 was spent on collection and delivery of used spectacles. The Twst continued to distribute funds for Youth Development from money received from the Estate of a local Citizen. That fund has now been fully utilised. The Club received & donation from The Shanly Foundation to enable the purchase of a storage shed. 2. Finances The accounts for the CIO show gross income of £105,451, and outgoings of £89,795 resulting in a surplus of £15,656 for the year.

Responsibilities of the Trustees of Lions Club of Maidenhead CIO The Twstees recognise their responsibilities for keeping proper accounting records and preparing a financial statement each year. An independent examination of the accounts is required and this has been carried out by.. Mr Dermot Woolliscroft ACA (Retired). 10. Investment Policy The Trustees aim to distribute funds raised as quickly as possible to charitable causes but will invest those moneys not immediately required in a bank deposit account tt) enable interest to accrue 11. Reserves Policy Following the final distribution of The Geoff Hill fund there are 2 restricted funds. l) The Winter Wamith Fund, which has been created by specific donations and is restricted to as51Sting applicants in dityiculty with heating costs. The balance of this fund is £2,794. 3) The Equipment replacement fund, which will be used to support renewal of the Lions Fun Train and other assets is now £9,818. The balance of unrestricted reserves totalling £78,573 will support the continuing community and charitable donations by the Club. 12. Risk Revie The Trustees have examined the operational risks that the Charity faces and no significant risks have been identified. 13. Approval.
