JUBILEE HALL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING- 2022 Chaimian's Report. It Is encoUra￿n8 to find ourselves In happier circumstsnces than at our last Meetln8. For muth of the past year we have been In lockdown and the Trustees have held meetlngs at a dlstance or on Ilne. Ukewlse, when coffee momlngs have had to be cancelled. cakes have been avallable to collect on the second &iturday of the month. The Hall stsrted to open agaln In August. wlth the flrst coffee mornlng and gradually our old frlends the Bowls aub and Susan aarke's two muslc groups met agaln. Sadly we have sald goodbye to our frlends In the Accordlon Club whlch has been wound UP• but remember vthh 8ratOtude thelr contrfbutlon to entertalnment In the vlllage for many years. The Chrlstmas Coffee Mornln8 was a 8reat succes& Jen Ollver had assembled an Impresslve hamper and several other prlze& Heartfelt thanks to Jen and all who ￿TrtrIbUted to the prfzes. Colln Goush Mnt fvrther coples of hls book on the Churth In Shllbottle and Newton on the Moor whlch had proved so popular In September. We had an Interestln8 varfety of Stslls offerfn8 festlve wreaths, decoratlve glass. Chrfstmas cards and other seasonal Items. Thank you to you all who contrfbuted so much to the success of the mornlng and to Moles A8rlcultural Supplles who once agaln donated the Chrlstrnas tree outskle the Hall. On Chrfstrnas Eve the tradttlonal Dresslng of the Crfb took place wfth der8V from St James, Shllbottle. Sadty. In November Storni Arwen was unleashed upon the vlllage causlng dlstresslng damage to many propertles. Thankfulty the Hall was spared. I now turn to some housekeeplng matter& The Trustees have dedded to start redecoratlon of the Hall In stages. commendn8 wlth the Readln8 Room. The fr￿t door has been replaced and palnted and Dudley Wllllams %￿rCed the splendld urns whlth now 5tsnd beslde the door. A new sound system has been ordered for the Hall. The Trustees are to pre5ert The Ferguson Cup to the Swarland Show In memory of our fornier Chalr so do go along and compete for the best lemon drfzzle cake.

Importantly the deflbrillator Is sltuated beslde the hall door and Is a votal asset to the communlty. The Trustses have worked very hard durlng the past year and I wlsh to thank them all: Judy Willlams, our Treasurer who steers our flnances so efflclentlv: to Dlane Wllllams a true all rounder who makes beautifvl cakes: Allson Cowen who has done so much to Improvlng the appearance of the Hall, researches our hlstory and produces the Jubllee Hall webslte for our frlends . to Dudlev Wllllams and Gre8 Anderson for oversl8ht of Improvements and day to day malntenance, especlally Gre¢s on.8olnz battle wlth the dlshwasher. There are other frlends and helpers who deserve thanks, Vlvlen Boulton who Is always wllllng to help out In so many ways• and Jen and John Ollver. Jen makes a huge contrlbutlon and seems to have a never endlng supply of a wlde varlety of scones, Ilkewlse John wlth hls plant& Stephert 6alll¢o who has been of Immense help to us on legal matters In our endewours to update our Constltutlon and on Charlty Commlsslon fflatters. Jobn Cowen has been of conslderable help to us In the refurblshment of the Hall; my thanks to you all. We are a small band and some of us have been connerted wlth the Hall for many years. We do need more help• elther by becomln8 a Trustee or by supportlng events In thos beautKul Hall. Flnallyi Allson and Stephen Galllco wlll be leavlng us In the summer to go to a new home. In the few years they have been here they have worked tlrelessly for our Commlttee. Allson has been an amazlng secretary• her knowledge has never ￿aSed to astonlsh me and she has taken on other roles durlng her tlme wlth us wfth great enthuslasm and efflclency. l am sure I represent all the Trustees In saying we wlll mlss them, wlsh them well In thelr new home and hope they wlll not forget us.
