The number of schools we work wlh is limited to our intemal capacity and the number of foclitators available to defiver yogrammes. Demand for our services És met on a first come, first served basis. partrculaty to state secondary schools. however. we find that we are atrAe to accommodate most schools at some point during the academic year. We continue to offer a liered pricing mo(Jel fcK schoc45, based on their budget and capacity for our progrommes. The income directy funds facilitators delivering the WO and chority's activities. Independent schools are glven higher tiers to subsidise costs for Iow4ncome or state institutions. This approoch ensures that OLf wk is accesslbie to am. We collect feedback at the end of ow wortshops, where students can provlde feedback vla an ortine survey on the session5 Ihey received that day. From this reseorch. we ccpdesigned o sulte of resources around the importance of troum(Finformed practice. advice fcf parent5 and carers if Iheir chli d experiences online hon5 ond sexual violence prevention checklist for senior leaders. Fundlng Th8 gront from Ovingdean Holl Foundation, (provided in three in5talmentsl. funded our ploneerfng project for a second year to develop contemporary and comprehensive Relalionships and Sex Education programmes for d/Deaf leamers. The funding enabled a qualified BSL - Engffsh interpreter and dlDeaf studies graduate to contlnue leading on this proSect and provide free rdotionshK)s and sex educalion programmes for dlDeof leomers. Key outcomes from this year of ttie project were: A brand new new vldeo res0Ce to wpport our programmes and workshop facli itation. Developed new drafts of the programmes following feedback. The development of "minl modules" allowed an improved pace for dlDeaf leamers and a realisttc leaclNng programme that better met Ihe needs of dlDeaf pupils. Feedback continue to be posltive from staff and students: "I liked how well it was paced, it went al o very comfortable speed with room to stop and discuss when issues arose. There were plenty of opportunities for group discussions and to address any question5 orconcems that students raised. Donallons The receipt of od hoc donations from members of the pubffic and organisations is used for resources and materials needed our sessions delvered in schoob. To ensure our work is accessible to al. inclvrfing young peoF4e, parents and teachers we published o book in September 2021 titled "Sex Ed: an indvsive teenage guide to sex and relationship5" We launched a crowdfunder in May 2022 to raise funds for a copy of our book lo be donated to school libraries. Plans for Future Perfods School of Sexuality Education plans on continuing the activities ouffined above in the forthcoming years. Other loritieS are Building the Charity's reserves and ensuring finoncial stabli ty. by continuing with a freelance model and dtversifying income streams. Sourcing funding ttiat wll allow us to raach a higher number of schools in particular regions V*ith low-income households. Continuing to provide exwt consultoncy and work towords sharing best practice in the sector. Rlsk Management The TTuslees of School of Sexuality Education ore responsible for the monagemenl of the risks faced by the charity. Detoli ed consideration of risk is delegoted to the CEO. Risks are idenlified onnuaNy and are monitored and controlled on an ongoing basis. The Trustees are satisfied that all major rtsks have been reviewed and procedures put In place to mitigate against those ti5ks. Whllst procedures can mi1Sgate against rna rlsks. the Trustees cannot provide absolute assurance ogoinst those risks. In Ilght of the Increasing cost of sales ond operalions incurred due to Ihe adverse political climate ond the impact on the charity's work. specifically the number of school engagements dropping. On review and recommendations from a strategy adviser, the Management Committee decided to move staff from the salaried model. rehJning to a fredance model for faclitators. The Management Committee is confidenl that the contracts secured will reduce any debt within the nexl ocadernic year ond b8gin bulding the Charity's reserves, porticularfy wlh the adjusted business model. As well as Ihe adjusted business model, the Charity will continue to diveT5ify the income streams through fundlrKJ. donations ond contracts.
