The CIO aims to promote, raise funds and co-ordinate the provision of a multipurpose, wheeled sports park allowing for BMX, Skateboarding, cycling, roller skating/blading and scootering.

Other		The overall purpose of our charity is to provide the community with a sustainable, long lasting wheeled sports park that will increase accessibility to all, improve physical and mental well-being for the community and provide invaluable social beneft and community connection. Part of our role is also to raise awareness. Skateparks are often surrounded by a stigma that they are frequented by troublemakers and that it’s not a “traditional sport” and the riders can be discriminated against for this, we advocate for the clear benefts that a high quality accessible park can achieve for skateboarders, scooters, BMX and roller skaters. Our initiative aims to strengthen community connections by creating a space for a multi-generational community to come together, enjoy recreation and the benefts that provides.

Para 1.20	A successful fundraiser was held in Oct 2022 which raised local awareness as well as funds. This year saw the start to making grant applications, many of which were successful. Feasibility studies were carried out to investigate the most appropriate plot of land, to make progress with the decision.
