Activities
People Speak Up is a social, arts & health, mental health and well-being organisation based in The Ffwrnes Fach, The Old Zion Chapel in Llanelli and works across South West Wales. We offer training, volunteering, workshops, one to one be-friending and events for individuals and communities to find their voice.
Objects: The Following Objects Are For The Public Benefit Using The Medium Of Arts, Performance And Conversation Based Activities And Events To Further The Purposes:-1) To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society. For The Purpose Of This Clause ‘Socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Part Of Society, As A Result Of One Or More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Youth Or Old Age; Ill Health (Physical Or Mental); Substance Abuse Or Dependency Including Alcohol Or Drugs; Discrimination On The Grounds Of Sex, Race, Disability, Ethnic Origin, Religion, Skills Attainment; Relationship, And Family Breakdown; Poor Housing (That Is Housing That Does Not Meet Basic Habitable Standards); Crime (Either As A Victim Or As An Offender Rehabilitating Into Society).2) To Help Young People Especially, But Not Exclusively, Through Leisure Time Activities, So As To Develop Their Capabilities That They May Grow To Full Maturity As Individuals And Members Of Society.3) To Relieve Those In Need By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Ill-Health, Disability, Financial Hardship Or Their Social And Economic Position.
