Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	Like many organisations, West Bristol Concert band had been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This prevented in-person rehearsals for the majority of this financial year. During this time the Band organised monthly Zoom social events to keep the community going. This had a particular impact on the members who were considered ‘at-risk’ and whose normal social activities had been severely affected by the pandemic. Since government restrictions were lifted, West Bristol Concert Band, in conjunction with the rehearsal venue, restarted weekly face-to-face rehearsals in August 2021, and planned their next performance. Rehearsals and performances benefit members by providing a creative outlet, a safe space for learning and improving musical skills, and building community and friendships between members.
