**Concert band had been significantly**
**affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This**
**prevented in-person rehearsals for the**
**majority of this financial year. During this**
**time the Band organised monthly Zoom**
**social events to keep the community**
**going. This had a particular impact on the**
**members who were considered ‘at-risk’**
**and whose normal social activities had**
**been severely affected by the pandemic.**
**Since government restrictions were lifted,**
**West Bristol Concert Band, in**
**conjunction with the rehearsal venue,**
**restarted weekly face-to-face rehearsals**
**in August 2021, and planned their next**
**performance.**

**safe space for learning and improving**
**musical skills, and building community**
