Trustees Annual Report North Wales & Northwest RO￿ Passport Trust- Charfty Number 1192610 Alms and Purpose The N Wales and NW England Rotary Passport Trust has the responsibility for the oversight and rnanagèment of the charitable activities of the N Wales and NW England Rotary Passport aub. Objectlves and Actlvltles To apply the funds of the Trust In accordance with the Charitable purposes and objectÈves of the charity as detailed in the Deed of TrusL Priority areas for support are aligned with the areas of focus of Rotary International, namely: Peacebuildlng and Conflict Resolution Disease prevention and treatment Water, sanitation, and hygiene Maternal and Child health Basic education and literacy Community econornic development Protecting the environment Durin8 the year the Trust took over rnanagemert of the 2023 Dlstrict Rotsry Youth Award activities as an on8oir¢ annual actlvity. The also established arranged a programme of organlsed Coach excursions for the elderty and isolated which will continue as an on8OiI project. Trust continued to obtaln several grants from a variety of Commerclal and charitable or8anlsations to support community activitie& A variety of supplementary furKI raisin8 Inltiatives were also undertaken by the Rotsry volunteers which genernted further funds for the Trust. underlylng Passport Rotsry aub qualified and re¢etved the Rotary Qtation for the 2022- 23 perk)d. A reflection of the hl8h level of activity and achievernents of the Trust arKI its volunteer supporters. Only a Ilmited number of such Citations were awarded by Rotary International within the region. Flnanclal ￿eW Restricted donatlons of £27.993 were received as detsiled in the Financial Statement. The largest of these restTiCted donations related to income in respect of the operation of the District Rotary Youth Leadership Award artivitie5. £29,478 was spent on a variety of projects supportire vulnerable and needy Indlvlduals and their sUPPOrt organisations within N Wales and NW England

Governan￿ and Manynent The Charity l￿ds established by a Deed of Trust on the 6th August 2020 which is supplemented by amendments to the Governing Document which V￿re approved at Trustees meeting on the 7th August 2020. Both documents are based Upon standard Rotsry Great Britain and Iretand documents which have the prior approval of the Chartty Commission. A supplemental Grant MakirE wlicy was prepared arKI implemented during the year. The current trustees are: James OliverThomas Nicholas John Gidney Suzanne Carolyn Gidney Projects and causes are proposed by the general membership of the N Wales and NW England Rotary Passport aub at their fortnightly meetings. The trustees agree the compliance of the project with the governing document and then oversee the financial management of the activities. reporting back to the general membership on a periodic basls (generally monthly). Banking facilttles are established with Natwest, Sandbach branch and the trust Is also registered with HMRC for Gift Aid although no activities were undertaken that necessitated gift aid recovery.
