Trustees meet monthly and are responsible for all decisions taken in relation to running and managing the charity. Decisions are made through simple majority voting. Minutes are recorded of all the proceedings at all meetings. The trustees are compliant with the charity constitution. The charity adheres to GDPR regulations and has a designated GDPR officer who is indepÈndènt of the committee. Para 1.38 Contribution made by volunteers Other Achievements and Performance SORP tefwetKe Cor y Gleision carries out numerous activities in pursuance of its tharitable objertives. Such activities benefit members of the choir. the public and the wider community. Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity, identifying the differen the charity'5 work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. P8ra 1.20 Membership numbers remain at over 100, with rehearsal attendance consistently at between 70- 80 each week. Thisyear we performed a joint Chri5tma5 Concert at Y Tabernacl. Cardiff, with another choir. CFI. performing ple5 written and arranged by our respective Musical Director5. We played to a full house.
We attended the 8oumemouth Choral Festival where we won in 3 categories. including Best Choir. In the previous financial year. we commissioned our Musical Director to write a piece for the choir to celebrate the end of lockdown and a return to norniality. and rehearsal and preparation of this Glorio commenced. One of the movements was perfom)ed at the Bournemouth Festival. The Christmas Concert and Gloria demonstrate ourcommitment to support and champion the work of local composers and musicians. The qualityand confidence ofthe choir continue to grow and develop under the expert guidan of our Musical Director and Accornpanist.
