music in all its aspects by any means

The tharity trustees are responsible for the
management of the charity and give theirtime
freely artrd receive no remuneration or other
benefits. Trustees meet monthly and are
responsible for all decisions taken in relation to
running and managing the charity. Decisions
are made through simple majority voting.
Minutes are recorded of all the proceedings at
all meetings. The trustees are compliant with
the charity constitution. The charity adheres to
GDPR regulations and has a designated GDPR
officer who is indepÈndènt of the committee.

Cor y Gleision carries out numerous activities in
pursuance of its tharitable objertives. Such
activities benefit members of the choir. the
public and the wider community.

Membership numbers remain at over 100, with
rehearsal attendance consistently at between
70- 80 each week.
Thisyear we performed a joint Chri5tma5
Concert at Y Tabernacl. Cardiff, with another
choir. CFI. performing ple￿5 written and
arranged by our respective Musical Director5.
We played to a full house.

We attended the 8oumemouth Choral Festival
where we won in 3 categories. including Best
Choir.
In the previous financial year. we
commissioned our Musical Director to write a
piece for the choir to celebrate the end of
lockdown and a return to norniality. and
rehearsal and preparation of this Glorio
commenced. One of the movements was
perfom)ed at the Bournemouth Festival.
The Christmas Concert and Gloria demonstrate
ourcommitment to support and champion the
work of local composers and musicians.
The qualityand confidence ofthe choir
continue to grow and develop under the expert
guidan￿ of our Musical Director and
Accornpanist.

year, and a total of £425 was raised. A
proportion of fundraising income 15 ringfenced
to support transport and accommodation costs
for tours and festivals. which are primarily
funded by individual members.

The majority ofthe choirfs income is from
membership fees and gift aid, however,
fundraising activities also raised money for
choir funds. The income covered the cost of
rehearsals, purchasing music and allowed the
choir to perform numerous activities to achieve
its key objertives, as well as to fund workshops
to enhance choirdevelopmentand
performance.
