Whilst we have seen the gUlar use of the audlo and vlsual equipment purchased In prevlous year5 forthe regular rnonthly communltylllm nights, the incluslon of mlcrophones and stsnds purchasedwith afurthergrantfrom the Parfsh Coundl and Installed durlng the summerof 2022 has meantan upgradeto ourfacllltleswhkh has been welcomed by hirersfor pre5entatlons and talks. The major achlevemert thi5 past financial year ha5 been the launch of a new website and induslon of the Hallmaster bookin8 System. whlch helped conslderably to relieve pressure on those Involved In handllng the daV4daY adminlstration of booklng requests and Involclng. It has also meant that prospective hirers can see what dates and times are avallable before maklng a requesi vla the booklng 5YStem. Our webslte and Facebook presence have been our prirnarysources of Infonnation for members of the local community and are Sncreasin8ly belng usedto provide us wtth feedback on events and seMces. FUTURE PiANS Havlng come through a challen8lng year with rlsing costs for all services, we wlll be evalu*5ng the full impact of these increase5 on the runnlng costs of the vlllaBe hall In order to decide whether we need to 5ncrease our hourty hire tharges, be In a positjon during the comlng year to repay the balance of the loan to ACRE andlor purthase batterles for the storage of electrlclty generated by the solar panels in order to offset utlllty costs. Some redecoratlng work is planned. together wlth an alteratlon to a doorway leadlng to our Storage area to reduce strurtural damage when movln8 equipment to and from the maln hall. However, the trustees wlll contlnueto encourage and promotethe use of tvIllage hall and offerthe resldents of the vllla8e and the wlder populatSon the opportunity to contlnue to enjoy the popular monthly film nights and addltional communlty events, whlch will be open to all.
