Section C Objectives and activities
The objects of the CIO are to relieve the needs of children and young people (ages 0 – 25) in Northumberland affected by one or more of the issues specified in clause 3.2, and their families, through the means specified in clause 3.3. 3.2 The children and young people to benefit shall be affected by one or more of the following issues: (a) autism; (b) Summary of the objects of the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD); (c) looked after children charity set out in its (or those previously looked after); (d) any other category of children or governing document young people which the trustees consider to have similar needs to those above. 3.3 The objects shall be carried out by the following means: (a) by provision of outdoor and indoor activities; (b) by provision of speech and language therapy; (c) by supporting networking and mutual learning by the parents and carers of the children and young people; (d) by such other means (being charitable in law) as the trustees consider will help to advance the objects.
Activities have included: tutoring, therapy and assessments, outdoor activities, hiring play centres to run “quiet sessions” so children can play whilst parents meet.
We confirm that in making decisions about the charity’s work the trustees have taken account of Charity Commission guidance on public benefit.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
As we are a new organisation we have been running several pilot programmes, reaching out to families to increase the number of beneficiaries we can support and developing a network of professionals, and contacts at different activities and organisations.
We now directly support 30 children plus siblings and parents.
We have recently moved in to our new base, which will provide a location for therapeutic assessments etc. for the children, and will be a hub for parents to meet, undertake training workshops, volunteer with projects and generally “come together”.
The trustees are pleased with the progress that has been made, and we look forward to moving forwards with our plans.

Section F Other optional information
The charity rented "The Old Chapel" from a Trustee and spouse (at a discounted price of £3000), it was intended to offer respite break following the first Covid lockdown, however we hadn't anticipated that there would be further lockdowns and so the project never took off, and the property was handed back to the trustee. The charity did however receive £21,670 in Covid Grants (TOC Grant on CC16a) from the Local Authority
