to children and their families,
especially during COVID time.
During this period, we received a fund
from Tesco community grants, Arnold
Clark grant which was used to
facilitate a COVID-19 relief project to
support low-income families and
single parents in Medway. We ran
home delivery services to deliver
foodstuff and other items to families.
The requests received in this period
were overwhelming, especially from
parents who were struggling with
electricity and gas bills due to an
increment in energy prices and cost of
living.
We endeavour to make our services
inclusive across Medway by
welcoming people of all races,
ethnicities, religious beliefs, genders,
sexual orientations, and ages.

with other service providers such as
Medway Foodbank, The Medway
Hygiene Bank, West Kent Housing, In-
kind Direct, and Cooperative to
improve the lives of children and
families.
A statement confirming Para 1.18 The Foundation worked diligently to

In this second year of operation, we
continue to run the COVID-19 relief
programme in Medway by delivering
Summary of the main Para 1.20 support packages such as foodstuff,
achievements of the clothing, toiletries, household
charity, identifying the provisions, and other items (e.g. baby
difference the charity’s items for new parents; maternity
work has made to the items for pregnant women) to low-
circumstances of its income families and single parents
beneficiaries and any who are severely impacted by the
wider benefits to society high cost of living and energy prices.
as a whole.
During this time, we also managed to
get donations from families and
friends to support the good cause.
With the fund received from Tesco
Community grants, Arnold Clark and
the general public, we were able to
distribute support packages to
families (average children of 215 and
97 adults) in Medway i.e. the total
number of people who benefited from
this programme was 312 including
the children.
These support packages made a huge
difference for low-income families and
single parents in Medway especially
with the knock-on effect of high cost
of living and energy prices, giving
them practical help and hope.
In furthering the object of the
Foundation, we made connections
with different networks in Medway
such as Medway Voluntary Action,
Mid-Kent Housing Association
Wellbeing Team, Family Hub, and
Foodbank for signposting and
referrals so that the beneficiaries can
continue to access longer-term
support and solutions.
We endeavour in the coming year to
support more families.
