Such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the charity trustees, put into practice the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith, including but not limited to: the prevention and relief of need, hardship and sickness; the advancement of education; and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life, provided that the advancement of such purposes must be undertaken in a manner that is consistent with the Doctrinal Distinctives and Ethical Statements as may be adopted and amended by the CIO from time to time. |

First Purpose - the advancement of the Christian Faith. The organisation is a church. Its main aims are to introduce people to the love of God shown through Jesus Christ, to encourage those who already know God's love to keep trusting in that and to demonstrate God's love in practical acts of kindness. Second purpose - Engagement in activities as a means of furthering the advancement of religion through the church community to the wider community. Examples of this are a parent and toddler group, youth and |

Para 1.20 | The Trustees have begun the process of the transfer of funds and assets from the old charity to the CIO. Discussions were concluded with the Charity Commission as regards an older Trust relating to the church manse, and a satisfactory way forward was found. Plans for the future include - - the maintenance of regular Sunday worship - provision and development of children’s and youth work, with active recruitment of a full-time childrens’ and families worker - all-round support (spiritual, prayerful, practical) to those in need, with a particular responsibility to elderly and vulnerable members of the church membership. This activity is supported by a visiting team and a number of home groups |
- provision of a Saturday morning drop-in for shoppers, and other visitors to the town - involvement of church members in the local food bank and other communitybased initiatives, to provide help and support to the most needy in the community
