In 2020, 11,432 people applled to have the NRPF condltion removed. This represents a 350% increase on the number of appllc?tions In 2017118 vthen records be8an. However. It still represent5 less than 1% ol the total number of people with NRPF. Only 80% of these applicarlons will be successful. Success In tho H*h Court We took the governrrent to couri wlth DPG In May 2020 and won the case. A5 a result. part of the policy was ruled unlawful. In response, the policy has been chan8ed to allow people who ère Ilkely to become destltute to apply to rernove the NRPF condition.
