| Our very first event was the Luncheon sale in June 2019 which was, as always with our luncheon sales, a success. Then A successful Africana dance in September 2019 followed by a well-attended Thanksgiving service in Jan 2020 • This was our last event before the pandemic struck. · We ushered in 2021 with our first Virtual event – our 36th Annual Thanksgiving in January 2021. We received so many great reviews and according to some of our members, guest and well-wishers, this was one of our best events yet. Attendance was high and we conducted a very successful appeal & fund raising which was evident from the amount of funds raised. Thanks to all our members (active and non-active) and supporters for your loyalty shown towards the organisation. Regrettably, due to many issues with the pandemic including a halt in events, fundraising was adversely affected. Consequently, we could not support our school as much as we had planned. However, with the success of our last thanksgiving service, we promised our guest and supporters that funds raised will go directly to supporting our school. We continued with our monthly meetings, virtually. Our members continued with their annual subscription and voluntary donations. Trustees are aware of the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit/funds and that none of the income of the charity may be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend, bonus or otherwise by way of profit to any member of the charity. All funds raised are for public benefit. |

-
Moving the school from 2 shifts to one shift
-
Provide new chairs and tables so that ALL students can be seated
