Para 1.20 | THE CHARITY SECURED FUNDING TO INSTALL A MULTI PURPOSE TRACK AROUND MILLOM SCHOOL PLAYING FIELD COMPLETE WITH SOLAR LIGHTING. THIS FACILITY HAS GIVEN THE LOCAL RUNNING CLUB, SCHOOLS, JUNIOR ATHLETICS CLUB, LOCAL COMMUNITY AND PARKRUN THE OPPORTUNITY TO RUN, WALK, CYCLE IN SAFETY AWAY FROM TRAFFIC, DRY AND CLEAN AS PREVIOUSLY THE FIELD BECAME A QUAGMIRE DURING WET PERIODS. DURING THE INSTALLATION THE DRAINAGE WAS IMPROVED MEANING THERE WAS LESS LIKELIHOOD OF FLOODING ON THE FIELD AGAIN IMPROVING THE FACILITIES FOR THE COMMUNITY. ACCESS WAS IMPROVED FOR DISABLED WITH THE PROVISON OF A RAMP DOWN TO THE TRACK. THIS IMPROVES HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF ALL USERS |
