Aims and Objectives The Future Academy Trustees review the aims, objeciives and activities of the charity each year in January. This report looks at what the charity has achieved; the outcomes of its work in the reporting period and the benefrc brought to the young people tt support5. Achlevements and Perfornian In 2024 Future Acaderny UK supported volunteerteathers working for our sister tharlty, Future Academy, In Lebanon, provldln8 fundlng towards travel and IFvTrrva costs. Volunteer teather Chris spent eight months In Beirut, teaching in Burj Barajneh and 5hatila refu8ee fflps. 188 students participated in educatlonal charitsble actlvltles led by Chrls, working alongside football coaches and teachers from the l(Kal refugee community. Two Beirut-based teacher5 also volunteered their tirne arKI expertise." Future Plans Our aims for 2025 areto: Support partner charitie5 by prowding travel-related expenses forteachers volunteertng their servi5 overseas. Expenses for other costs inojrred by teachers on long terrn placements may be considered. The trustees will assess each case on an individual basis. Future Academy has a board of five Trustees, who have a varied skillset Three Trustees are key offldals who are responsibleforthe day-ttrday runnlng of the tharlty. The Chair is appolnted to the board for an initial period of four years.. the treafer and secretary are appointed for three years; and the remaining two Trustees are appolnted for two years. When revenue reaches £25.0 Future Academy UK will be required to have their accounts independently exarnined. Until th*time the accounts wlll be reviewed by Trustees not involved in the day-to-day running of the activities. In 2024 totsl receipts were £6,872 and expenditure totslled £8,081. All expendwture on tharitable actÈvitie5 related to three volunteer teachers working in two refugee camps in Beirut. In addition, £102 was spent on governan (bank thargesl and £89.15 on raisin8 funds (website costs). Cash fund5 remaining at the end of December 2024 amounted to £8,982 We estimate both income and expenditure in 2025 will be approximately £9.0(KJ.
