Section D Achievements and performance

July – Mar 2021 Summary of the main Bowling achievements of the Christmas meal charity during the year Christmas Shopping Cinema Pub and Pool Social distancing Picnic @ Rutland Water Trampolining Virtual Catch-up and games Visit to Farm Park Google meetings Meal and Games at the Wisteria During lockdown, the group has continued to interact using Google Meet.

These virtual meetings have been a real success. They have allowed members to come together, see each other and share what they have been doing during a very strange time. It has also been able to somewhat keep the routine which we know is so important and supportive for our young adults. We have been able to play lots of games, many of which have been suggested by members and in doing so, have often been able to practise our signing too. We have had a brilliant turn out for each meeting, with many members attending every week and others popping in every couple of weeks to say hello. Personally, I think it has been a brilliant way to keep the group running during lockdown and it is something which we will continue and adapt according to government
