Objectives and Activities

Charitable Purpose:

The relief of poverty in low-income areas targeted at people between the ages of 0 and 35 who are living in South Africa, Kenya and Rwanda, by providing grants to charities and other organisations working to relieve poverty for these beneficiaries.

Activities for Public Benefit:

In 2024, Rhiza UK continued its mission to support underprivileged communities in South Africa through direct support to our partner, Babuyile Community Development Trust. The main activities involved providing grants, funded through UK charitable giving, to strengthen quality Early Childhood Development, healthcare access, and employment generation initiatives in disadvantaged communities. The trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in planning and delivering all Rhiza UK’s activities.

Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the CIO you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the CIO'S accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5){bl of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination.
