To promote for the beneft of the inhabitants of Glapwell (Derbyshire) and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infrmity or disablement, fnancial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants. |

| The Glapwell Community Sports Association have employed a number of strategies to achieve the charity’s objectives are to: Provide facilities for amateur and professional sportspeople to develop. Groups in the borough are given discounted rates for longer term hire of space to encourage long-term commitment Encourage groups involving young people in sports, promoting good mental health in younger people afected by the pandemic Provide free access to facilities for not-for-proft community groups with an emphasis on changing attitudes to ftness and health Putting these strategies into action are focus is on: 1. Facility provision across a range of sports with access facilitated for all ages, (dis)abilities, social and economic backgrounds, religions, ethnicity and gender. 2. Highlighting the mental health benefts of taking part in organised sports, recreation and leisure activities 3. Actively encouraging and facilitating not-for-proft community groups that provide health and ftness support, especially those that are free at point of delivery. In shaping our objectives for the year and planning our activities, the trustees of the Glapwell Community Sports Association confrm that they have paid due regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public beneft in deciding what activities the charity should undertake. |

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The charity is proud to share the following achievements:

Pre-booked usage of the community recreational facilities have increased substantially, still recovering from the effects of the pandemic.

Additional youth teams have begun to use the facilities including girls teams and increasd activities for disabled young people.

Refurbishment of the grass facilities (football)in conjunction with the teams in seasonal residence.
-
Supporting grant funding applications for both grass facilities (football and cricket).
-
Provided facilities, free of charge, to community running fitness group.
Section E Financial review
The Charity’s policy on reserves is guided by Charity Brief statement of the Commission guidance in that having no fixed assets it maintains charity’s policy on reserves an amount of cash which is sufficient to discharge its obligations in the event that the Management Committee deems it necessary to close the charity. The amount required varies over time and therefore is kept under regular review by the Management Committee. Additionally, in relation to annual expenditure, the Charity will endeavour to maintain a sufficient contingency reserve as required by the Trustees financial officer.
