As part of Lions Clubs International we are govemed by a Standard Lions Club constitution with our own grant making policy and statement of public benefrt. Trustees are formally appointed by the Club's AGM. They are given the Charity Commission's public benefit guidance and have regard to this when carrying Out their duties. All have DBS clearance. Ob ects activities and achievements The constitutional objects include advan￿rnent of cttizenship. encouragement of volunteering and service to the community and SUPF)Ort for youth development. Our usual programme of activities was severety constrained during this perFod by the Covid pandemic. However, we continued meetings on-line to organise community 5UPPOrt activities. fund raising and donations. Our sUPPOrt activwties relating to the pandemic included joining wrth other local organisations to deliver food parcels and to provide advice on sour￿$ of help. and several members volunteered at vaccination centres. We also organi5ed an online fretrto-enter Easter lucky dip and dIStrib￿ed 142 prizes around our area. We were able to carry out our Christmas Santa sleigh Collectio￿5. our main fund-raising artivty. in a Covid safe way. As well as raising funds. the sight of Santa in his iSluminated musical sleigh touring local neighbourhoods seemed appreciated as a morale raiser. In nornial times our other main fund-raiser and community event is a duck race on the River Welland. In this period we organised an on-line version which proved just as hard work but earned le55 money. We financially supported the development of a forest school and one of our member5 did prartical work for the projert. Also connected with youth development. we made grants to local Scouts and youth football. Financial review Rese￿e5 are held in our charity bank account. available for immeiliate use.
