Henley Memorial Trust – Chairman’s report 2024-25

Peter Johnson thanked everyone for all their hard work in the past 12 months and remarked on how the Trust had been modernised.

The Open Day at the Sports Ground was very successful, with Bowls gaining more members and the Henley Rocks! event was also a huge success.

Affiliates have been active in decisions this year and everyone has been working towards a common purpose. Projects such as the disabled toilets and the Padel application are positive for the Trust. We have also lost a former Trustee this year, Bob Morgan, and Pete reiterated how hard Bob had worked for the Trust over the years he had been involved and how he would be sorely missed.

Going forwards into the oncoming 12 months, The Trust still needs more volunteers and an understanding from the Town about what its role is. Big issues that are still to be tackled include a new 3G pitch, the car parking, further drainage work and the development of the building that was occupied by the Rifle Club.
