residents not to feed Red Kites - including
targeted door-to-door leaflet dropping and an art
trail across Wallingford
- maintenance activity and social events at two
community orchards in public green spaces in
residential areas - including our first wassail in
January 2025
- community engagement and outreach activities
during Great Big Green Week and a stall on the
Kine Croft at the Wallingford Carnival
- “greening Wallingford” initiative installed two
large planters with multi-stem trees and
pollinator-friendly planting and replanted a border
in a town centre cut-through
- supported Wallingford Town Council’s entry in
RHS Britain in Bloom competition (awarded the
Community Involvement award for a second year

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 We have continued to secure some small grants
and donations which will enable us to continue
our programme of community nature-based
events and activities. We have also secured
some unrestricted donations. Our payments
were higher than our receipts but this was mainly
due to an 18-month grant that cut across the
reporting period.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 Last year we revised our “zero reserves” policy to
work towards reserves for three months of
activity, plus replanting of orchard trees that have
failed within the season. We ended the year last
year with £2000 reserves and have now built on
that to reach our target of £3000.
