Para 1.20 | During the year we delivered 46 events / activities to support local green spaces and help connect people with nature in their local area. Activities and events have included: - Red Kite awareness campaign advising residents not to feed Red Kites - including targeted door-to-door leaflet dropping and an art trail across Wallingford - maintenance activity and social events at two community orchards in public green spaces in residential areas - including our first wassail in January 2025 - community engagement and outreach activities during Great Big Green Week and a stall on the Kine Croft at the Wallingford Carnival - “greening Wallingford” initiative installed two large planters with multi-stem trees and pollinator-friendly planting and replanted a border in a town centre cut-through - supported Wallingford Town Council’s entry in RHS Britain in Bloom competition (awarded the Community Involvement award for a second year running) and entered into RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood for the Wantage Road / Sinodun Road corner verge, building on last year’s successful first entry - spring-flowering bulb planting on Castle Street verge - wildflower patch maintenance in the Bull Croft - became a “Community Partner” of Ayres House Studios, supporting improvements to their garden - produced a 5-year impact report celebrating our achievements from registration in 2020 We have grown the mailing list for our monthly e- newsletter and have an increased number of Facebook followers. |

We have also secured some unrestricted donations. Our payments were higher than our receipts but this was mainly due to an 18-month grant that cut across the reporting period. |
