David Watson, Susan Pierce, Heather Norris, Jeff & Jill Fanning.

The Accounts, agreed by independent accountant and all trustees are being submitted with this report.

Our Aims have been to reach as many households experiencing food poverty as possible through referrals from any statutory or volunteer agencies engaging with us. We have full data supporting this.

We also aim to engage with the local community to encourage donations of both food and or cash to us at the foodbank.

Donations have also come to us via the Welsh water board and other groups and clubs.

We support refugees and all other groups of the community.

We promote all other agencies that may be of help to those we engage with.

This past year our referrals are up by 50%

The year has been a challenge due to the pandemic however during Covid we ran a full delivery service. We did not stop providing support.

Christmas 2022 we provided an extensive programme providing food and toys to those referred in crisis this number was 150 families.

Plans for the future.

2022 We are planning a community shop run on the Fareshare model

We are also planning a debt counselling centre both initiatives to be based at the foodbank on Victoria Road.

We plan to introduce a membership scheme to the community shop which will entail a £3 membership fee for each visit.

Debt Counselling Service Food Bank will be moving ah￿d with the athlition of debt coun8ellin8 services to the assistanc¢ that we offer to our service users. It was felt that CMA (Community Money Advice) would b¢ the best financial advice organisation for us to go with which would keep us in line with neighbouring Food Banks in OUT local area. Full recognised trdining will have to b¢ undertaken before servi￿8 in this field can officially be offered. It is understood that we could be looking at a timescale of up to six months for this training to be completed. Matters arlsing from Extraordlnary Meetlng Wednesday 20th October 2021 Purchase & slllng of new Food Bank Portcabln The Trustees have now pioc¢eded with the purch&8e of the chos¢n portacabin for the r¢-location of the Food Bank operation on the Festival Church site. Work and costs were as per expectations apart from the planning permisston charges which ended up as zero due to helpful assistance from our local councillor with the planning department. We also had a zem cost on the flood consequences assessment as it wag discovered that we would not require one for our proposcd type of work. The ground clearance and site preparation has been completed and the Portacabin has now been set in its place. Electrics have now been installed. At present a separate electric meter to that of the church's has noi been added to th¢ cabin howevcr thc wiring has all be¢n don¢ so that should this be Tequired by Festival Chll￿h in future years then it will not be a problem. Trussell Trust Gr*ut After fi￿ber investigation it was discovered that we did not qualrfy for the grant that we w¢re looking at to help towards the costs of the new Food Ba¥)k Portacabin and its a&￿lated set up costs.
