The Nottingham Council of Mosques was not able to do it’s full set of intended work due to changes caused by coming out of Covid.

We however continued working primarily in the fields of Health, Cemeteries, Islamophobia and Mosque advocacy to meet our stated objectives.

Within health work was done on producing videos to increase uptake of flu vaccinations and reducing health inequalities.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Many meetings were held with the Council to improve burial facilities for muslim and the Nottingham Council of Mosques were involved in the majority of burials in Nottingham providing guidance and support to bereaved families.

The Nottingham Council of Mosques worked with the Green Academy Trust to hold an important event on tackling Islamophobia which was very well attended. In addition we liaised with the Police on a number of cases linked to islamophobia which impacted on the Muslim community.

The Nottingham Council of Mosques also responded to the National consultation on Prevent and remained and attended meetings as an active member of the Muslim Council of Britain.

Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)

The Trustees are supported by a number of Advisors who are all volunteers and do not claim any expenses (like the Trustees). They provide invaluable support and are greatly valued and appreciated.
