Para 1.17 ark PVCA provides a hub ethos where social connection5 can be made in a safe and friendly enviionment. A range of community ev8nts and activities were facilitated during the year by our small ommitlee of 7 trustees and 10 volunteers. Much of this activity was enabled by financial support from a BCBC Social Isolation grant of £IOOO and BAVO Solar Grant funding of £2.831, both received In the winler of 2023, These have helped strengthen our community by bringing people together, reducing isolation and fostering intergenerational relationships. PVCA has developed a strong relationship and works closely alongside NHCC (Newcastle Higher Community Council) to promote communty wellbeing.

Achlevements and Perfonnance Summary of the main achievements of Ihe ¢hawity, Identtying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Our events and activities have been available to ev8ryone in the communty however, based on ongoing feedback which identified a strong need to provid8 social activities for youn9 children, this year we focused on our BabSs Bach and Stay and Play 5esslons, aimed at pre-school children and their parentslgrandparentslcarers. Farnilies tell us that the PVCA activities offer a great way to gel out of the house and meet new, like-minded people in a relaxed, friendly and weicomif¥J environment. Par4 120 Our Litter Picking Hub continued to flourish and grow, with a core of 10 regular volunteers who join the monthty litter pick and others who drop in as and when they can, or a few that littèr pick independenlly. borrowing pickers and other equipment from our hub. During the year a total of 20 adults and 5 young people took part in the litter picks, and over 80 sacks of litter was collected. The total amount collected each month is reported ba¢k to our partners Keep Wales Tidy, via an online site - thu$ contributing lo the overall Wales-wide environmental impacl as well as helping to keep our village tidy. A Chrfstmas Fayre was organised in conjunction with Penyfai church. This was well-attended and received positive feedback from community members. We had a sp8cial visit from Father Chrislmas which was particularly popular. Direct Beneflclarles: We estimate that an overall number of 150 residents participated in our activities. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position at the end of the period Para 1.21 The opening bank balance at 1st April 2023 was £2.883.64. A grant of £2,831 was awarded from the Suncredil Solar Grant fund (2023-2024), toward administration. resources and activity Costs. In additlon. we made a successful application for a Social Isolation grant. which awarded £1000 toward the Babis Bach and Stay and Play activity sessions. Total Income for the year was £4,380.18 Total Expendrture for the year was £4,667.56 The closing balance on the account at 3110312024 was £2.596.26. This is represented by Unrestricled Funds of £615.72. Solar Grant 2023-2024 £1.185.54 (carried forward) and Bavo Sociallsolation Grant of £795.00 {carri8d loard).
