Average weekly attendance forthe Sunday service during October was much increased again on previous years at 105 (9J 2nd 64 in 202) & 2022) plus three or four htsuscbound memberswho have printed Copi￿ of the service delivered to them at home week by week. Home Communion is al'so made available to them. The sernion is recorded each week and posted onlin being wily aece5sible via our websit¢. Despite corLtinuing concerns about.the Cost of Living sitsation faced by many people, we remain thallk￿l to God for th¢ faithfithess and generosity of church members and friends for tbis income and for RESTiucfED gift5 of £13,530 (£4748), including a gift for the installation of two TV screens, to b¢ completed in 2025, once a Faculty ha5 been grarlted. Interest received on balatt￿ invest¢d with the CBF Deptssit Fund fell in 2024, since.only 3 qu8rters were posted following CCLA'S changes in reinvestmen¢ ausing the note in th¢ Accounts in 202), when Q4 was illcluded as a debtor. We continue to benefit from rent paid by Bible Training Yorkshire and the Romani2Th congregation. Unrestiicted Expenditure was marginally lower than the previous year (£95.941 - down from £96,691), largely due to repairs ne¢d¢d in the church building being put on hold until the damp i55ue is resolve& and those in the grounds awaiting granting of a Faculty, and to our planned use of Restricted Funds. Despite corLtinuing concerns about.the Cost of Living sitsation faced by many people, we remain thallk￿l to God for th¢ faithfithess and generosity of church members and friends for tbis income and for RESTiucfED gift5 of £13,530 (£4748), including a gift for the installation of two TV screens, to b¢ completed in 2025, once a Faculty ha5 been grarlted. Interest received on balatt￿ invest¢d with the CBF Deptssit Fund fell in 2024, since.only 3 qu8rters were posted following CCLA'S changes in reinvestmen¢ ausing the note in th¢ Accounts in 202), when Q4 was illcluded as a debtor. We continue to benefit from rent paid by Bible Training Yorkshire and the Romani2Th congregation. Unrestiicted Expenditure was marginally lower than the previous year (£95.941 - down from £96,691), largely due to repairs ne¢d¢d in the church building being put on hold until the damp i55ue is resolve& and those in the grounds awaiting granting of a Faculty, and to our planned use of Restricted Funds. We had budgeted unrestricted expendibjre on staffing of 'only' £12,000 with the view of tsking the excess necessary from Restricted Fwids, and therefor¢ we still hold mu¢h of the I￿e u￿estrICted reserve built up 4 or 5 years ago, which will enable us to ¢oritillue to employ additional staff in'leaner years" We also used the retained energy gr2nt of £1150, given to all churches by the Diocese, ￿ our energy costs rose sigDificantiy in 2024. after previou5 fixed tariffs ended in December 202) (gag) and September 2024 (electricty). We were again able to Rncrease our Com￿oll Fund payrncllts to £5)200 (£52,000 in 202), £48,000 in 2022 & £36.000 in 2021), 50 that we cover the cost of our Vicar. Towards the end of 2024, many of our P¥listat)i church members suffered loss of income 'overnight', when th¢ nursing home at which they were employed was tsk¢n over. We were able.to use restricted fill￿ (Poor of the Pari5h} to pmvide food vouc]ws and one-off rent payments for the most needy of them. The PCC has Tnainttined its policy of giving IO% of its unrestricted income to wider mission. Our Accounts show a sm911 excess of cxpenditure over income for the year. on VTLrestricted fimds. which increases once bank interest been tr&nsferred to Restricted Funds. Following planaed use of both i)NRESThJCTED RESTRICTED fijnds to contÉnue to cover staff saLaries to August 2025 (and beyond following grant applieatLons), we still fEntsh the year with an ullrestricted funds balance of £87,50J (£90,738 in 2023), which together with restricted fi￿dS for staffing tota]Éng £10,886 (£17,270)- total restricted funds of £38,346 (£38,)09)- continues to allow the PCC to plan strategically for 2025 alld beyond. With balances of £125,849 we are ¢onfident that the mission and outreach of the Church will continue in our parish community in 2025. along5Lde the maintenance of our buildings, whilst maintyning an efficient Cash flow to be able to service the necessary ain￿ and objective$ of our smatl staff t¢am. Fund balances are invested the CBF Church of England Deposit Fund, the Current Account (Virgin Money) usually being kept at the tninimum necessary for day-to-day fmanci21 transactions. The proportion 'of restricted and ullrestricted capitsl balan¢¢s conttnues to chang¢ but interest is apportioned accordingly.
