| AVLAN has adopted a grass verge and continues to develop itas |

| Work on improving the water quality ofthe River Wey was started |

| with training for volunteers. |

| Cycle Alton was launched in May 2020 to campaign for |

| improvements to Alton's cyding infrastructure. |

| Alton Community Cupboard worked together with Alton Mutual |

| Aid to distribute surplus food and supplies tothose in need. |

| Alton Community Share was launched in June to provide a library |
|||
| of activities, toys, books, jigsaws etcto provide entertainment to |

| local people during lockdown and to reduce waste . |

| AGAN canvassed opinion amongst members on how they would |
|||
| like to build back better after the pandemic —these views and | |||
| ideas were summarised in its 2020 Vision report which was widely |
|||
| shared with local government and on social media. |
|||
| ALFI launched their Local Food Directory listing outlets for local |
|||
| produce to reduce food miles. | |||
| Action on Plastics was launched in September with regular litter |
|||
| patrols and working on a Green Directory listing local recycting |
|||
| points plus sources ofeco products and refills. They are working | |||
| towards gaining "Plastic Free Town' status for Alton. |
|||
| 10.Energy Alton launched their Clean Heat Alton Project to provide |
|||
| guidance on retrofitting for local home owners. They also |
|||
| launched a Community Renewables Group to promote solar |
|||
| power take up. 11.AGAN attended about a dozen local events with stalls and display |
|||
| boards to engage local people and increase understanding ofthe |
|||
| climate and environmental crises and how they can do their bit to |
|||
| help. | |||
| 12.The Gumbi Education Fund (Malawi) was adopted as AGAN's |
|||
| charity and they ran a fund-raising event to collect money to send |
|||
| young people for training in permaculture techniques so that they |
|||
| can help their villages to increase their food security despite the | |||
| ravages of climate change. | |||
| 13.Preparations were made for our Eco Fair that had been deferred |

| to 2021 due to the pandemic. |
