||||Action on Plastics was launched<br>in September<br>with regular<br>litter|
||||patrols and working<br>on a Green Directory<br>listing local recycting|
||||points plus sources ofeco products and refills. They are working|
||||towards<br>gaining "Plastic Free Town' status for Alton.|
||||10.Energy Alton launched<br>their Clean Heat Alton Project to provide|
||||guidance<br>on retrofitting<br>for local home owners. They also|
||||launched<br>a Community<br>Renewables<br>Group to promote solar|
||||power take up.<br>11.AGAN attended<br>about a dozen local events with stalls and display|
||||boards to engage local people and increase understanding<br>ofthe|
||||climate and environmental<br>crises and how they can do their bit to|
||||help.|
||||12.The Gumbi Education<br>Fund (Malawi) was adopted as AGAN's|
||||charity and they ran a fund-raising<br>event to collect money to send|
||||young people for training<br>in permaculture<br>techniques<br>so that they|
||||can help their villages to increase their food security despite the|
||||ravages of climate change.|
||||13.Preparations<br>were made for our Eco Fair that had been deferred|
||||to 2021 due to the pandemic.|
