Objectives: To advance the religion of Islam in the west Yorkshire district for the benefits of the public in particularly to the needs of Sri Lankan Muslims, who lives in the west Yorkshire area Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its To co-operate and coordinate with the organisations which primary share governing document the same purpose and provided that such organisation subscribes to the Constitution of the association (SLMWAWY) and its objectives. Activities; Community activities, public celebrations of religious festivals Cultural community, youth programs, Spor activities. Afternoon children and adults’ educational lectures, thus promoting understanding relevant to our community and society. Taking part in the community celebrations organise by other charity organisation and contribution to the success of integration with other Cultures with shared values of respect and honour in society. At present we have not received any grants or contribution from any Government organisations or charities. We work very closely with local councils and participate in many organise events.
All our activities are carried out by community volunteers and with the support of the local community of various cultures and backgrounds.

During the year 2023 and 2024, the main events were,

community celebration of Eid Al Adha

taking part in Asian food festival event organise by local Food supermarket Mulaaco Dewsbury.

Ramadan program for the community 2023/2024

Youth sport events organise by our association for the Girls and boys during summer break. Cricket, six a side football and with a

Food stall sponsored by community volunteers
The biggest achievement was we were able to secure a small community Hall in Dewsbury with the support of local business community and Volunteers in 2024.

Brief statement of the
charity’s policy on reserves
The charity main funding is Generated by community donations We follow a strict policy that donations are used as per doners specified cause.
The Financial statement were prepared as at 31 October 2024.At the close of financial year a surplus of UK Pounds 46,367 , which will be allocated for the start of next financial year to cover operational expenses and to payoff long over dues of the association.
