The charity is an Armed Forces Fund.
The charity allows HM Forces personnel, along
with limited numbers of civilian members and
others deemed eligible for membership, an
opportunity to obtain fying instructon and
recreatonal fying in light aircraf as
economically as possible. Membership is open
to all ranks, and provides a chance to acquire
fying skills whilst developing airmanship and
promotng an interest in fying. The charity: -

The primary focus of the charity in fulflling its
objects is in Educaton and Training.
The charity is an approved learning provider
under the Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme.
Enhanced Learning Credits can be used for
training qualifcatons at NVQ level 3 or higher.
The Private Pilot’s Licence is recognised as NVQ
level 3 equivalent . All other courses afer PPL
are therefore considered to be higher than
NVQ level 3.
The charity ofers a scholarship programme.
The charity ofers bursaries.
The charity provides fying as a recreatonal and
social facility, with a strong emphasis on
maintaining high standards.
The charity is run by the members for the
members. The costs are therefore signifcantly
reduced.
The charity is a not for proft organisaton. All
surpluses are ploughed back into the charity to
keep the fying as inexpensive as possible and
ofer further educaton and training.
Membership of the Club is by subscripton.
Membership from the most junior ranks to
Senior NCO is free. Ofcers pay an annual
subscripton of £140 and civilians pay £190.
This is intended, in part, to encourage young
serviceman to learn to fy and enhance their
career opportunites. Likewise the Club is able
to ofer fying training to personnel leaving the
armed forces who wish to pursue a career in
aviaton.
