Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
General fundraising in the UK, through Facebook and other platforms. We raised funds to erect some fences and other temporary enclosures on a small parcel of land, in which to foster 5 dogs in Spain (c. £700). We also arranged the adoption and transportation of one dog to a new adoptive family (c. £60) |
| Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit |
Para 1.18 | All 3 Trustees have been happy with the decision to spend funds on the transportation of a dog, as well as building some temporary enclosures for foster dogs. We believe this is in the interest of both the charity and the public, as well as the animal’s themselves. |

Achievements and Performance
| SORP reference | ||
|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Still in its infancy, the charity has so far assisted in the adoption of 1 dog by arranging the transportation between the refuge and the new home of the animal. The refuge is a Spanish NGO and, although the adoption took place in Spain, we carried out translation services between the refuge (Spanish) and the new owners (English), including translating all paperwork. The adoption of street dogs is central to our mission and we are delighted to have successfully rehomed a dog in Spain. Further to this, we have built a small enclosure on a private land plot, which now homes 5 dogs. And we’re now working on a project to build a dog park on the same parcel of land, in order to socialise dogs and potentially offer a recreation ground for the local community and their dogs. We believe this will help us integrate into the local community, as well as offer a free service to local residents, whereby they can enjoy time with their pets. Furthermore, we believe firmly that socialised dogs are happier and have a much better chance of being permanentlyadopted. |
