The object of the CIO is to advance in life and help young people based in Enfield through the provision of scouting related activities allowing their personal development and empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. |

The Group meets the Charity Commission's public benefit criteria under both the advancement of education and the advancement of citizenship or community development headings. To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential; as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The Group delivers these activities in a wide variety of ways, including weekly activities, visits to activity centres and camps. Over the last year the Group has had to conduct a lot of its activities virtually due to the impact of the pandemic. The Group has recently fully returned to physical meetings, however there are still restrictions with regard to certain activities. |

The Charity has managed to deliver the following activities during 2020/2021: delivered a programme for Beavers, Cubs and* Scouts face to face and online during the pandemic where possible due to pandemic conditions, ran camps for our Young People contributed to the community that we live in through active programmes for each section |

This is the first set of accounts produced for the Group for the Charities Commission, which includes a one off Donation from the Group into Unrestricted Funds. Reserves held to support future delivery of the programme for the Scout Sections in future years including day to day activities and also facilities costs. |

The 12th Enfield Scout Group Charitable Incorporated Organisation is a Charity supports the 12th Enfield Scout Group Executive Committee to provide facilities and resources to deliver good scouting in Enfield. This includes the repair and maintenance of the Stratton Avenue Scout facility, making funds available for each section’s activities, provision of equipment for activities and camps, and the recruitment of Leaders and adult support. All trustees of the CIO are members of this Executive Committee. The Scout Association exists by authority of Royal Charters, these give authority to the bye-laws of the Association which are approved by Her Majesty’s Privy Council. The bye-laws in turn authorise the making of rules for regulation of the Association’s affairs and are known as the ‘Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association’ – a governing document which is revised from time to time. 12th Enfield Scout Group is a Trust established under these rules, which are common to all Scout Groups. |

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of 12th Enfield Scout Group
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of 12th Enfield Scout Group (the Trust) for the year ended 31 March 2021
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act').
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) ofthe Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1 accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
2 the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form
-
3 and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports)
-
Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
The 200 Club which provides support to the Trust is operated independently from the Trust and the receipts and payments in relation to that have not been examined other than the extent of any donations to the Trust
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
