Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Klingen Choir and Cultural Association organised a number of concerts, lectures, exhibitions and workshops in the year 2022/23. The following were particularly noteworthy:
Concert-exhibition dedicated to composer Lazar Saryan and legendary painter Martisos Saryan on Saturday, 15th October 2022 in Our Lady of Victories, Kensington, 235a Kensington High Street, London W8 6SA. Lecture, Concert & exhibition dedicated composer Lazar Saryan and painter Martiros Sarian to represent their immortal Armenian art in the UK. The event took place in Gulbenkyan Hall and St.Sarkis Church in London on Saturday, 19th November 2022. A lecture was delivered by Sophie Sarian - art historian and critic, chief curator of Martiros Sarian House-Museum in Yerevan as well as daughter of the composer L.Saryan and granddaughter of the painter M.Saryan.
Concert dedicated to Christmas with participation of 30 musicians on 3 December 2022 in Guildford St Mary’s church, Perry hill, Worplesdon, Guilford, Surry, GU3 3RE. Concert “Love Opera Arias & Romances” which took place in St Cuthbert’s church, Earls Court, Kensington, London SW5 9EB on Saturday, 18th March 2023 at 19:00.
Concert-Festival of arts & performance Cultural representatives, singers, dancers, ensembles and a choir from London. The event was on Sunday 7th of May 2023 Draycott Avenue, Chelsea, London, SW3 3AP at 15:00pm.
Concert - Exhibition dedicated to KCCA 10-year anniversary on Saturday 20 May 2023 at 19:00 in St Sarkis, Church, Iverna Gardens, London W8 6TP.
